Manholes

Manholes can be manufactured in either round, square or rectangular shapes. The usual or most used shape being round, which adds to the strength of the unit as well as allowing easier access for installing inlet and outlet pipes.

Manholes are used in sewer systems to accommodate the intersection of more than one line and also at points of direction change in the line itself. Cleaning and inspection of the lines can easily be accomplished from the manhole itself.

Cast in place boots or sleeves allow various size pipe hookups with easier water tight connections. Steps can be provided for access to clean and inspect the lines coming in or out of the manhole.

Access openings can be made for individual requirements. Frames and covers can be provided for access and can be cast in place in the concrete covers and / or tops.
